Business Overview

The Wandering Kettle offers mobile catering services, including tea bars, charcu-TEA-rie carts, dessert displays, and other event-based offerings. All services are operated under Steep Right Up LLC, a Raleigh/Garner, NC–based tea business.

Use of Website

You agree to use our website for lawful purposes only. You may not:

• Use the website to transmit harmful or malicious content

• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or interfere with website operations

• Misuse forms or input false information
   

We reserve the right to block access or refuse service to anyone engaging in misuse or fraudulent activity.

Booking & Lead Time

We require a minimum of 7 days’ notice for all bookings. Some services may require additional lead time depending on availability, customization, or scale.

 

Booking Process:

1. Customer submits inquiry via our “Book Us” or event form

2. Availability is confirmed by Steep Right Up/The Wandering Kettle

3. A formal quote or invoice is sent

4. Booking is secured upon signing of contract for hire and payment of booking fee/deposit or in full (as what is applicable)
   
    

Booking Fee/Deposits & Payment

• A non-refundable booking fee/deposit may be required to reserve your date

• Final balance is due 7 days prior to the event

• Accepted payment methods include: Credit Card or Cash.

• We do not accept Vinmo, PayPal, or Cash App.

• Late or missed payments may result in cancellation of service and forfeiture of payment.
  
   

Cancellation & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellations made 7+ days in advance: Booking Fee/Deposit retained; no further charge

• Cancellations made less than 7 days: Booking Fee/Deposit retained; full event fee will be retained.

• Reschedules are permitted pending availability. One-time rescheduling is allowed without penalty
  
   

Weather & Force Majeure

We operate rain or shine, but extreme weather may impact mobile events. In cases of hazardous conditions, we’ll work with you to reschedule or modify services.

We are not liable for non-performance due to causes beyond our control (e.g., natural disaster, illness, utility failure).

Allergies & Dietary Needs

While we are happy to accommodate dietary preferences where possible, Steep Right Up/The Wandering Kettle is not an allergen-free kitchen. Please inform us of any allergies during the inquiry process. Clients assume responsibility for informing their guests.

Menu Customization & Availability

Menus are seasonal and subject to ingredient availability. We’ll do our best to accommodate preferences, but substitutions may be made when necessary. You will be notified of any significant changes.

Photography & Media

We may photograph our carts, displays, or setups at your event for use in marketing, unless otherwise requested in writing. Client names and details will never be publicly shared without permission.

Intellectual Property

All branding, copy, recipes, product names, and photos on this website are the property of Steep Right Up LLC unless otherwise stated. You may not use or reproduce them without express written permission.

Limitation of Liability

The Wandering Kettle and Steep Right Up LLC are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, delays, or third-party service issues.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved through good faith efforts first, with formal legal action pursued only when necessary.
